In selecting the AX6C and AX6C-L products for the Editor's Gold Choice Award,
AnandTech cited the product's unique ability to manually select the RDRAM clock
multiplier-a very useful feature-especially when over clocking to maximize
performance. Also highlighted was the inclusion of the clock rate
selection in the BIOS setup for maximum user flexibility.
"If you're in the market for an Intel i820 AGPset motherboard, AOpen is the
way to go," according to AnandTech's Anand Lal Shimpi". . . expect
these motherboards to remain on top in terms of reliability and stability in the
long run."
Using state-of-the-art packaging and next generation board-level architectural
design, the AX6BC Pro II Millennium Edition products give system builders and
power users a higher degree of flexibility and performance than other Intel BX
motherboard solutions.
According to Duane Pemberton, product reviewer for Gamers Depot.com, AOpen set
out to make the AX6BC Pro II "not only the coolest looking motherboard to
date, but to also show that motherboards can be hand-crafted like a
Mercedes." Pemberton also noted "The AX6BC Pro II sets out to redefine
the standard for other BX-based [motherboards] to follow."
AOpen's strategy is to continue to offer the ultimate in performance and
compatibility of any component solutions provider in the PC industry.

Leveraging the latest Intel® 810 chipset, the AOpen MX3W motherboard integrates
4MB dedicated video RAM, 3D graphics and sound capabilities to provide
businesses and cost-conscious market segments, such as education and government,
with a state of the art, highly-reliable multimedia motherboard solution at an
extremely affordable price.
In the round-up review of Intel 810-based motherboards, Technology in Government
states, "A motherboard bearing the 810 chipset has nearly everything you
could ask for, all under one roof. " Regarding the AOpen MX3W,
Technology in Government writes, "Although the BIOS is very similar to
other 810 boards, there are things that make it easier to work with than others.
Other features, such as numerous ways to 'wake' the system, bus speeds up to
155MHz and an efficient design all contribute to making this board an excellent
candidate for either personal or business use."
"As the largest components manufacturer in the world, AOpen's vision is to
provide unbeatable technology solutions, including the most reliable
motherboards, to our commercial customers," said Al Peng, director of
motherboard management at AOpen America. "As evidenced by another

for custom configurations. Three PCI and one AMR (Audio/Modem Riser) slots
allow resellers to add networking, communications and other components as
needed.
The MX3W features a dual Ultra DMA 66 Bus Master IDE channel, while investment
protection solutions include: CPU thermal protection circuits, system voltage
monitoring, CPU and housing fan monitoring, over-current protection circuits,
and a resetable fuse to provide keyboard and USB device short circuit
protection. Also, the MX3W sports leading management solutions, such as
the newly defined, Alert-on-LAN, as well as, Wake-on-LAN, Zero voltage
Wake-on-Modem, Wake-on RTC timer, Wake-on Mouse, and Wake-on Keyboard.
